5 years parts & labour
Hitachi offers a 5-year parts and labour warranty on domestic products when installed by a qualified F-Gas certified installer. Warranty requires annual servicing by a qualified engineer.

What is Frost Wash and how does it work?
Frost Wash is Hitachi's automatic self-cleaning system for the indoor unit's heat exchanger. The system briefly operates at very low temperatures, causing frost to form on the coil, then rapidly melts it — washing away dust, mould and bacteria accumulated on the coil surface. It runs automatically and requires no user intervention.
What does 'rated to -25°C' mean?
Most air conditioning systems specify a minimum outside temperature below which they cannot effectively heat. Hitachi's Shirokuma Cat range is rated to continue effective heating operation at outside temperatures down to -25°C — significantly lower than most competitors and well below any temperature experienced in the UK.
