What if the air conditioning fails in our server room?
We recommend specifying a system with automatic restart and alert capability. For critical environments, a paired system providing N+1 redundancy is the safest approach.
Can a standard domestic AC unit cool a server room?
In some small server rooms, yes — but it must be correctly sized for the IT heat load, which is often much higher than a domestic room of the same size. Incorrect sizing is the most common cause of server room cooling failure.
